Incorporating the Voices of Lived Experience of Psychosis into Medical Education

This panel explores how incorporating the voices of people with lived experience of psychosis can enrich medical education, drawing on examples from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University. Panelists will also address challenges—such as ethical concerns and institutional resistance—and share strategies to support meaningful integration, including training, supportive environments, and evidence-based impact.
