An Integrated and Recovery-Oriented Model of Care for People with Concurrent Disorders—Delphi study
This webinar shares findings from a Delphi study conducted by Providence Health Care to identify key features of an integrated and recovery-oriented model of care for people with concurrent mental health and substance use disorders. The study involved people with lived experience, health care providers, and researchers to co-develop a consensus-based model. It resulted in 5 guiding principles and 51 indicators across 7 core domains, such as person-centred care, screening, equity, and workforce development.
Presenters Dr. Angela Russolillo and patient advocate Anja Lanz discuss the study’s outcomes, including barriers to integration and participant-informed strategies to improve care. The goal is to support policymakers and service providers in transforming the fragmented system into one that better meets the needs of people with complex, overlapping challenges.
